Hola! Hallo! Hey!
My name is Yaneli Monserrat Sanchez, and I'm a bilingual computer scientist with a passion for art.
I graduated with a major in computer science and a minor in art from Eastern Michigan University. I learned English as a second language, with Spanish being my first, and visual forms as my happy medium.
In my computer science studies, I focused on mobile app development and web programming, and I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including computer game programming with Unity, creative coding with P5.js, software engineering, and web development with the fundamentals. I'm known for my strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and my ability to work well under pressure.
In my art studies, I focused on design and new media, and I've developed a unique style that combines digital and analog modes of expression. I believe art and technology are closely intertwined, and I enjoy exploring the intersection between the two in my work.
As a bilingual individual, I'm passionate about bridging the gap between cultures and helping people communicate across language barriers. I've had the opportunity to use my language skills to learn about natural language processing, neural networks, and artificial intelligence. With AI being relatively new, I look forward to exploring and discovering more.
When I'm not working, you can usually find me thinking with my hands in my sketchbook, exploring what the Internet has to offer, or practicing my skating skills. I'm also passionate about the Earth and our changing climate, as well as mental health, and I look forward to using my skills to give back to my community.
If you're interested in learning more about me or my work, please don't hesitate to reach out via one of many modes of communication, or exploring my site (updates to come). I look forward to connecting with you!
